Girl and Horse Series. Erin McGee Ferrell

As a professional working visual artist, my passion is oil painting. I lecture and teach on merging traditional oil painting techniques with new technology and materials. Recent series include Insect Hotels, Turkey-Syria Earthquake, Formula 1, Dog & Camel, and Crossing which use computer chips to link audio and video under paint. I have begun a new series of large oil on canvas works entitled, Girl and Horse. This series links the Middle East with my home state of Kentucky. I use the thoroughbred horse as a common thread.  The Girl and the Horse Series is a statement about the challenges creatives face with generative artificial intelligence.
